Give us your best curry recipes

Post by Giner »

Let's have your best curry recipes. Especially you folks from India, Pakistan, Bangla Desh. Show us in the rest of the world how it's done, please. Mmmmm!

Oops, this should have gone in the 'cooking' thread.

maybe i can post some recipes from back home... seeing as my home city of Durban South Africa has the largest population of Indians outside of India :P and curry has become a part of our cities culture.

First suggestion: A Durban invention, the "bunny-chow"

cut the end quarter off a loaf of bread and pull out the soft bread inside.. fill with curry of choice then plug top with wad of soft bread.. convenient edible curry container.

quarter bunny chow: quarter loaf
half bunny chow: half loaf
coffin bunny chow: full loaf with top cut off

Hilarious (I think). Not quite what I was looking for, though.

Oh, and Pad Thai and Indian curry are not the same thing. Check your taste buds.
