Karma Lab : House 101 tutorial DVD set

Post by srs »

Hi All,
I am looking at purchasing a tutorial to get familiar with the M3Xpanded.

I am looking at the Karma-Labs House 101 tutorial set.

Viewing the free demo version from Karma-Labs it looks like most the techniques are shown using a software on the computer. Is the House 101 mostly for use with the M3 software that Karma-Labs sells ?

Does any of the House 101 videos show how to program the M3 directly on the keyboard rather than using a computer ?

cheers

Hi srs,

Most of House 101 tutorial is taught using the M3's editor software, with exceptions in a few places where it's easier to make certain changes on the keyboard itself.

That said, try not to let this be a deal-breaker for you, because the tutorial is incredibly helpful regardless. In my opinion, what the tutorial shows in the editor software translates well to the M3's screen. I haven't used the editor yet because my PC is in another room, so I only program sounds and combis from the keyboard. And still the House 101 tutorial really helped me understand the M3 as a whole, not just KARMA.

House 101 is well worth the $9.95 from the PCA section. I highly recommend it.

In this series the M3 Editor that ships with your M3 is being used, and not the KARMA M3 (KM3) Software that Karma-Labs sells.

No, it shows how to program combis using the M3 Editor. Although you could do all these settings on the M3 directly, I recommend using the M3 Editor. It's easier to use and you will accomplish things faster.

The House 101 series is great, a must-buy for combi programmers.
