SV-1 adding 2nd keyboard, or dual manual ?

Post by FlametopFred »

Love the SV-1 and think about buying one every time I am in the store.

Just wonder if there is any way to:

- connect 2nd keyboard to the SV-1
- have one sound on the main keyboard, 2nd sound on 2nd keyboard

So, for example, you could play clavinet on the 2nd keyboard, organ on the main SV-1 keyboard.

I am thinking here about the Nord organ with two keyboards, and how useful that is.

Wonder if Korg is thinking about coming out with a dual-keyboard SV (SV-3?)
Cheers

Hello FTF,
Welcome to the forum!
The SV-1 is mono-timbral.
Regardless of being able to connect a second keyboard to it, you won't be able to play clav on one and organ on the other.

As an alternate solution, why not buy a pre-owned Nord Electro 2 for about $800 and use it for the organ and clav.

Cheers, Hanon
I used to play Korg instruments, then I took an arrow to the knee.
