akai mpk mini connected to ims-20

i cannot or the life of me understand the software editor that comes with this keyboard. i have very basic knowledge of midi but im totally stumped.
the keys work fine and a few of the nobs too, but i cant work out how to assign nob functions to the nobs and drums to the pads. ive looked on the internet but cant find anything which gives this sort of very basic information. can anyone please help or point me in the direction of someone who can? thanks in advance

I think the iMS 20 uses multi midi channels for the drums .... The MPK mini uses only one global at a time so that is a no go .
