M50 scratch noise comes from some notes

Post by grafistas »

Hi Korgers :D , i'm a proud owner of a yellow M50 and really love it. Besides the mediocre keyboard (i'm getting used to it though) i really love this machine.
To the problem now. I was working on M3 Mono piano sound trying to play some piano music. I noticed a sratching sound coming from the lower octave notes, 2 or 3 of them. This only occurs to the left channel and the headphone output. never on the right channel output.
Any help would be appreciated. I own it a couple of weeks only.
Thank you all
George.

Same problem, now sending to the warranty service

Hi Grafistas,

I had the same problem for some weeks. After that, the left channel of the headphone output stopped to sound forever.

Right now I'm packaging the keyboard in order to send it to the warranty service.

My Korg M50 is now back and repaired. Now I can hear the left channel, but the scratching sound is still there on the left channel of the headphones.

I have tried with several headphones and the scratch sound is even louder in some headphones than others.

sad to hear your m50 still has a prob. Mine sent to Korg service and came back with no problem. They said that a factory reset was enough. I guess somebody should be messing with the programs before me ;)
