Mod-7, lac-1, EXs-3 for Oasys
Sure would be nice if Korg would give this out to registered Oasys owners who paid so much for there Oasys, Kronos, although I will be buying one when Sweetwater gets them in already has all engines and seem to be about half the price.
i guess I know now why I have not purchased them...KRONOS !!!!!
but would be nice to get it for the Oasys without dumping more money into an instrument they no longer support, don't get me wrong I love my Oasys........So come on Kronos !!!

Would be a nice gesture but I think by doing that Korg would put fuel to the fire of the already disillusioned OASYS customers whom have shelved out for the add on's.Would add insult to injury.
Im sure those of a more vociferous nature will be willing to comment,I can see this not being pretty........

Yes I'm sure this would add insult to injury. I will probably go ahead and get the expansions in the next month or so just so I have everything the Oasys has to offer and waiting on the Kronos to be avail.
One thing I do know is that I could be starving down and out and the one thing I will have is my Oasys, I won't let it go for nothing.
gonna read into the already covered topic on this that I missed...

Oasys owners won't be getting any freebies from Korg. You are rich, easy going high-end users and therefore don't need any discounts from poor old Korg who are battling through tough economic times.
Anyway, they still want more Oasys owner's money to iron out any bugs before the completely unrelated Kronos is shipped

If you're waiting for the Kronos, then don't bother getting the O extensions, in my view. You will not get the money back. If you're going to trade it in you'll get about the same money without them. And if you keep your O when you get the Kronos, then you don't need the expansions either because they're standard on the Kronos.
Why give Korg more money than you need to? Korg complains of hard economic times; Emm, hello - same for us too!
Your money is better in your pocket than theirs - and if you must part with it, then you've got extra to put down on the Kronos.

In fact, starting on 8 August 2011, Korg will be giving these away to registered OASYS owners. They will also offer special pricing on KRONOS libraries to OASYS owners who purchased OASYS libraries before 8 August 2011.TonyGen wrote:Oasys owners won't be getting any freebies from Korg. Not much of a deal for the OASYS users who have already paid for the extras!lbartram wrote:In fact, starting on 8 August 2011, Korg will be giving these away to registered OASYS owners. If I want to use the discount on libraries I've never even heard, I need to spend £2,500 to be able to use them!!
Yeh, right - what an amazingly generous offer! Not.

I disagree. I don't remember anyone torturing me so that I would buy my OASYS, nor the extras (mine is fully expanded). I think it is pretty nice on Korg's part to offer these now at no charge.cello wrote:Not much of a deal for the OASYS users who have already paid for the extras!.
My advice? Start a company. Korg did, so can you. Manufacture a keyboard. Make it profitable. After you've done that, let's talk again.
And, if you don't like what Korg has done, vote with your wallet. Get a Roland. Or a Yamaha. Or a Kurzweil.
And remember these immortal words:
"If you want something for nothing, jerk off."

Nobody is more surprised than me. I presume Korg read some of the vitreol over the last 18 months. Personally I have always found I am far more likely to get a result by complaining long and hard....lbartram wrote:In fact, starting on 8 August 2011, Korg will be giving these away to registered OASYS owners. Thank you KORG...
I realize that KORG is now going to get some heat from those who already paid for these extras. I hope their anger is tempered by the realization that they still got value for their money because they were able to use those extras years before everyone else who's getting them for free now.
