Volume in combi changing

Post by TonyP66 »

This already costed me a couple of hours and I don't get it. I programmed a combi consisting of a piano and organ sound. The organ sound is driven by an external keyboard. While programming the combi, all voices sound as loud. Also after saving the combi the voices still sound as loud. If I swap a combi and get back to the saved piano/organ combi the organ sound is much lower. This seems only to go wrong by the organ sounds. If I use a piano sound for both voices it is OK. Anyone facing the same?

Is there an expression pedal controlling the organ level?

Yes but this is set to maximum open. Also while removing this pedal the problem still exists. I checked the midi values and they are all level 127 coming out of the external keyboard driving the organ sound.

Is there any chance that you accidentally touched the VJS before you saved your piano/organ combi?

I had a similar issue with my Triton Extreme... it's most likely got something to do with the volume cc message being sent to your kronos from the other machine... (on that specific midi channel)
