HDR-TRI Firmware

Post by Azazel »

Hello People,

Is it possible to update the firmware of the HDR-TRI? Teh one I bought recently doesn't seem to have all the functions listed in the guide.

Cheers

HDR-TRI does not have a firmware. The Trinity itself, however, has an updatable operating system, so differences might be a result of an older OS. Have a look at the most recent version for yours, you'll have to consider whether you have the MOSS (V3 OS) or SOLO (V2 OS) option.

Thanks SynthJoe, I have the correct OS (2.4.1 I think) for the Solo board I have installed. I maybe have some conflict with SCSI IDs if there's no firmware updates, or maybe you can dump or record to Zips?

Thanks

Oh, that...! :) I don't think you can record/playback audio to/from just any SCSI device. If I recall correctly ZIPs are not suitable for harddisk recording, so it might well be that some other options will be missing, too. You should try a HDD or an ORB (these are working for sure, I use them), or maybe a JAZ drive (I don't know this one). I seem to remember that ZIP was only usable for PCG/KMP storage/retrieval.

Yeah, 2.4.1 is the latest for SOLO - so that should be OK.
