Hello Everyone,

You might have already faced the question that haunted me for the last 10 years: how to archive my files onto a CD so that Trinity can read it back?

Thanks to Jerry's hint in the "Classic" section finally I was able to work out the full and detailed procedure to do this. (He might have been able to do it faster and better than I did - but hey, I needed a challenge... )

Anyways, I've sent the file (TrinityCD.exe) into the upload section, feel free to try it and let me know if it worked for you! The EXE extracts nearly 600 MBs of data and you've got a manual included - read it for instructions!

Unfortunately the EXE file did not make it to the files section and having exchanged a few emails with Sharp, I'm afraid it will be a while before you can download it from here.

So those of you needing the solution badly , you can download it from the Yahoo Trinity group http://launch.groups.yahoo.com/group/ko ... club/files (you might have to register) or from my personal site for a limited time (http://web.interware.hu/dsz/TrinityCD.zip). For this latter you'll have to unzip first and then execute the resulting EXE file.

Wow! Over 600 reads and no feedback. I though nobody was interested in this. Has anyone ever managed here to create a CD using this procedure?

Hi All!

I made a couple of CDs using the TrinityCD.exe file.

My Triton Le read the CDs using an old Apple CD300i scsi CDROM on SCSI ID 6. The SCSI drive has parity jumpered and term jumpered - I think this means internal terminated.

Here's what I did:

Download demo of Winimage.com (8.5 is latest).
Download TrinityCD.exe file.
Copy and Paste the example bin and cue files to make "Copy of..."

Rename the copies TEST.BIN and TEST.CUE
Edit the TEST.CUE file in notepad to read

FILE "TEST.BIN" BINARY
TRACK 01 MODE1/2048
INDEX 01 00:00:00

Launch Winimage, open TEST.BIN. It is a ~540MB empty disk image.

Image Inject Folder. This copies the Trinity files to the image. Use short DOS-style filenames. I copied the PBS disk onto the image.

File Save (not Save-As). The name will stay TEST.BIN.

Burn the Bin/cue combination as a disk image using your software.

I used Nero 5. Nero Asked to Turn off Multisession (I did). Nero Asked to turn off DAO (I did not). Nero 7 rejected the images.

I turned on the CDROM, put the CD in, then turned on the Le. The CD was instantly recognized when I pushed the MEDIA button. The Le would load the KSC and KMP files but it rejected the compressed ksf files.

I plan to test the Trinity SCSI, but I have to make a mounting bracket or rig the scsi-tri card under the keyboard.....

Great news Sam, thanks for posting your experiences! Nero 6.3 works fine for me, maybe Nero7 will not work at all, IDK. Another soft to try would be ImgBurn (http://www.imgburn.com - Windows only), which is freeware and have worked fine for me on several counts in the past.
