Two nanokontrols? Possible?

Post by siriusbliss »

I'd like to be able to use two Nanokontrols with my Win7 laptop, but apparently the korg drivers are not designed to do this, or there's some sort of limitation with USB, or whatever.

I've also tried using MIDIox , but it also does not see the second nano.

Is there ANY way to get my System to see both, or are the drivers not designed to handle this?

Thanks!

Hiya,

I'm currently using a single nanokontrol but will be adding a second next week.
The best information I heard about how to do this was to do the following.

Set up scene 1 on your nanokontrol to control your first 9 faders and buttons etc. and then set up scene 2 to control the next 9 faders and controls.
Restart your music software with your 2 nanokontrols connected.
Set nanokontrol 1 to scene 1 and nanokontrol 2 to scene 2.
This should allow you to operate both nanokontrols at the same time with each one controling a different part of your software.
It's also important to assign different NOTEs and CC, and different Global MIDI channels to each hardware in the korg editor software.

I already know this. This is all after-the-fact.

My problem is that my system (Win7 PC) does not see two devices on two separate USB ports on my PC!

I believe this is a driver issue that no one at Korg or anywhere else has been able to give me a solution.

I've tried routing through MIDI-OX, setting up all the presets and controller numbers, etc. - but it's all worthless if the PC doesn't even see the second controller.

I AM able to see both the Nanokontrol and my padKontrol at the same time no problem.
