Well on this I agree with you.

This OASYS forum has desceneded into the pits. Absolutely nothing but perpetual moaning and groaning about upgrades, the price, Kronos, how mean Korg are and so on and so on - over and over and God-damn over; and with absolutely no moderators of the forum managing it in any way whatsoever.

I agree - be done with it and shut the bloody forum down - it has become completely irrelevant.

Kevin.
Well stop reading it if your that bothered. Nobody is forcing you to look at what people post. I own an Oasys and couldnt care if they dont ever release another thing for it.
I must admit i get sick of seeing you kissing korgs arse all the time but i dont complain about it.
If you showed an ounce of integrity "markup" you'd do what every descent person on every descent forum does - and go to the bother of looking over the history of this forum - get a feel for it - find out if you tired and jaded point has been made and discussed before, and if it has, zip it.

There were many of us on this forum before moaning, negative, griping blow-ins like you, who made something positive and exciting of this forum.

We celebrated OASYS, shared music and ideas, discussed and even helped test OS and plugin upgrades with Korg, shared our ideas with other forum members, helped out others and a plethora of other positive activity that made this about the best forum I have ever encountered and which radically improved our musical lives.

Go check those threads out - and maybe then you'll figure out how to temper your utterly ill-judged, boring and basically immature arguments.

How about contributing something worthwhile for a change - got any sounds you'd care to share? Got any tips and tricks you think others could benefit from? No? Well then how much of this clap-trap nonsense do you expect people who contributed in those ways for years on end to listen to your whines and groans.

If you are not happy with the instrument, or Korg - at least conjure up something new and original to debate.

And again Sharp - could you see fit to do some moderating on this forum these days? Please set back into balance these perpetual moaning and griping threads - or else put us all out of our misery and shut the forum down.

Kevin.
You speak on here as though you have some authority If you want the forum closed down then just dont come on it. Who the hell are you the forum police.
I havent got any complaints or gripes about korg so i dont know what your talking about.
Anyway you will have your new kronos soon so you wont even have to bother with the Oasys forum.

Yes, the griping on this forum can be overblown and annoying, but surely the calls to "shut it down" are quite the drastic reaction, no?

The Oasys is still a complex instrument, and though the number of users will likely be a small percentage compared to the Kronos', the user forum will continue to be a great resource for those of us who wish to discuss the instrument and its capabilities (or the lack thereof) in a serious manner.

The dust will settle in a few months, when the Kronos' presence is even greater in the marketplace... hopefully by then, the Oasys Extremists will finally come to grips with the fact that the EP-1 (or whatever else) will not be made backwards-compatible for their instrument regardless of how much they paid for it, and the Kronos Trolls can hang in their dedicated forum and antagonize each other over there. In the meantime, perhaps we can ALL get on with making some music, designing some sounds, and doing other creative and productive things.

No need to "cut our mic" simply because some voices have been raised.

BTW: Did anybody notice, that the forum member „tan“ just registred as a new member in order to post this poll? He never participated on this forum before. And he opened this thread just after my remarks on this thread, that forum member „McHale“ unfortunately has forced me to make:

"Has anybody notice , The Oasys prices , going back up"
?

So „tan“, who are you? My suspicion is that you „tan“, are just a nifty and destructive TROLL !!!

Please Sharp, check this guy out
! („tan“=“McHale“???)

Hi Kevin.
And again Sharp - could you see fit to do some moderating on this forum these days? Please set back into balance these perpetual moaning and griping threads - or else put us all out of our misery and shut the forum down.
Trust me, I see everything.

As always I will react when appropriate to all threads and with the fairness I have always done. You have to accept Kevin that there are a lot more people on the forums these days. It's inevitable people will not get on and there will be more instances of negative opinions simply due to the massive increases of people coming here. That's just human nature and it does NOT break any forum rules. Actually, you have personally let fly at KORG way worse than anything posted in this thread in this past.

In this case I will shut down this thread though. My only reason for this however is that I do know the true name of the poster and if they wish to voices their opinion, I would prefer they do it under their real user ID.

It's a respect thing. If your going to say something, don't hide when there's no need. People will respect you a lot more for it.

Regards
Sharp.
