Here is a song I wrote and performed on the Oasys this weekend called, "The Home of the Brave." It is the first song on the webpage linked above. For the guitar sounds, I was thinking of Trevor Rabin's style. The song is 16 MIDI tracks, recorded on the Oasys with no external signal processing, sequencing, or production of any kind. I intentionally did not use any compression, so as to get a noisier sound that could express greater emotion.

Great song Greg! I'm impressed with the recording, especially the drums. Great separation of the sounds. I'm curious on how you lay down your drum tracks, if you care to share.

Very beautiful and thanks for sharing!

Thanks very much.
Regarding the drums, I use multiple kits with different patterns. Sometimes, I set the pan pot for one kit all the way to the left so that the signal is constantly changing to different positions in the acoustic space. If you are using toms, this technique can create the impression of the drummer working from one side of his kit to another. (However, I do not do this for the drum kit that is playing the basic beat; that would sound tedious.)
