Microkorg XL library conversion for the R3... Anyone?

Post by Kernalsound »

Does anyone have the full Microkorg XL library for the R3?
I purchased the XL first then did my homework and returned it for the R3 for a too good to be true deal. I got a brand new R3 for only $40 more. I missed the XL library so much that I took the time to copy half of the Microkorg XL programs in the R3 editor. In my opinion the R3 is superior but I had a great deal of fun with the XL. My conversions are not perfect but pretty damn close because the editors are not the same. Before I take the time to complete this venture Id like to see if anyone has done the same with perhaps more programing knowledge. Ill be happy to share what iv done but would love more insight .

no one has done a conversion as far as i know.

The features in the R3 editor are just as capable as the microkorg xl editor but the R3 engine doesn't have as many virtual patch destinations as its brethren. Otherwise the R3 is everything the XL is plus.

btw did you know there is another free xl library for download? the korg site is advertising it.

Good to know there is such a strong support group out there. Love my Korg as I am sure you do. When I have more time I'll try to figure out how to upload my conversions. The virtual patches for some of the programs did pose a problem but I still got some good sounds. Took a good bit of time but I learned a lot about the components of synth. Its the least I could do since quite a few people have posted their programs. There is a guy Demetri who has put together a few nice ones. If you hear anything about good XL conversions for the R3 please let me know. Thanks for your support....

Just saw that you have the Radias. Nice.... May get that one in a year or so.
Have you come across the XL conversion for the Radias?

Also saw that you have the Komplete 8 . I have the 7 bundle and love it.

Just found your post for the conversions to Radias. Looks like more people post their programs for the Radias, a few more out there. I will try to upload my R3 conversions to contribute to the R3 users. Did you ever have the R3?

I made it through about 52 of them and will try to post mine. Hope Korg will convert them for us at some point as my knowledge of programing is limited. Im sure they could get them much closer but I think I did ok. The virtual patches threw me off a little.
