Bought Kronos 88!!

Post by kron »

So, after a long wait in the UK I finally pulled the trigger and ordered one from the US! My K88 is on it's way to the UK and due Thursday next week - can't way anymore :-) \:D/ \:D/

Please help me keep busy with something and get rid of the courier tracking page, this is driving me nuts.....!!! :wacky: ](*,)

By the way, does anyone know whether this will be the one form the first shipment (which needs replacement data wheels) or later shipments (which doesn't need it)?

I had a K61 delivered in June (not US though) with no Data wheel problems, you'll be fine :D

I kept my mind off waiting for delivery by reading the parameter guide, at least when it arrives you'll have some idea where to start.

I hope I do not spoil your day but I know someone who decided on the 88 this week, ordered it and is having it delivered this coming Tuesday. Apparently, DV had five delivered yesterday.
Rhodes 73 Mk1; Kronos 88; Synthex; Electribe EMX-1; Motif XS Rack; Yamaha DX7IIFD; Yamaha MM8; Roland Alpha Juno-2; Roland JV-2080; Tascam FW-1884.

Thats great news.

I wonder how many of us are waiting worldwide. If the updates and new uploads keep coming, the sales figures of this board are going to be mind blowing.

I've been told another 2 weeks ish but I wont hold my breath.

Has anyone been successful in RAM upgrade (to 4GB) in the UK? Which make/model? Is it too ricky to DIY?

For me, anything which voids my warranty on a new $3,000+ keyboard is too risky to do!

Yeah me too. Not so much for the trouble I can forsee, more for the ones I didn't.

Besides, I'm usualy unlucky with stuff like that. Like loosing a screw, spilling my coffee inside (did that once), leaving scratch mark that could revealed I opened it, etc, etc...

And at the first sign of a bug/trouble, I will think this is the cause. I'd rather wait.
