Has anyone gotten the Oriental Wavedrum from Sweetwater? I was told mine was delayed till Sept 22. Anyone?

I'm in the same boat as you Jazlover.
I placed my order on June 8th and still waiting. They did email me to let me know about the price drop from $699.00 to $599.00.

It does sound like it should ship soon, but they are waiting on Korg.

My guess is that Korg may have had some manufacturing setbacks related to the earthquake, but I don't know the actual reason.

I hope you get yours soon,
Marty

Thanks for the confirmation. Sweetwater has been great with me, but I bought the Kronos elsewhere because I could get one a month earlier at a local store. This is good to know..... Anyone else?

I just received notice that my ORT has just shipped from Sweetwater. The website still says they are waiting for more, so there must have been only a few delivered. Hopefully anyone else waiting gets theirs soon.

It's been a tough 3-1/2 months waiting for this to ship. I would still like to know what caused the delays.

I ordered and received mine months ago. Did you try calling them? They were quite friendly.

You have had a oriental for months.....really? I thought they had just come out. I will make that call.

The big problem for everyone is the destruction of the ship yards. Doesn't matter how much you can produce if getting your product out is stalled.

I am sad to say that I am canceling my order for the oriental. The arrival is now tentatively set for November. The wavedrum was always a luxury for me. I was hoping that it would help me write more intricate rhythms for large music compositions. As time passes and more family needs come up, I don't think it is wise for me to spend on this luxury now. Maybe another day.

I waited 3-1/2 months. I almost canceled several times. I know how you feel.
