korg X3 used value

Post by korglifeguy »

Ive a korg X3 (fully working in very good condition owned from new), I will be looking to sell soon (United kingdom not US prices please) what sort of value can I expect? I see M1's and D50's seem to hold their prices very well considering their age.

To be honest you'd be lucky to get more than about £120. You could be lucky & get between £150 ~ 200.

Times & peoples necessities determine what you'll get.

I Paid £180 for an X2 with dim backlight & yellow keys (It was dark admittedly). I also bought an X2 alongside a Roland A30 for £80 all in.

They rarely have working diskdrives though so I'd have thought a working one would be desirable.

I've also sold an X3 for £110 myself.

Incidently I've seem M1's go for £80 ~ 120 in the past few weeks alone. They usually reach the 200 plus.

I also bought an 01wpro with dim "whiny" backlight for £90.

Depends on who what were when & why.

£120 plus though methinks. There nice bits of kit.

I think Korg X3's would sell for a lot more if people knew what these boards were capable of. I have an X3 and an N364 and the sequencers are fantastic. Sure you're limited with the two effects and perhaps the number of notes are more limited then by today's standards, but the sequencer is so easy to use.

Plus you get the bonus of having the sequences stored in internal memory when powered off unlike many sequencers today where you have to load from floppy or usb. Prices do seem higher lately for these so hopefully you'll get a good price.

Best of luck.
