Multiple OASYS PCI

Post by gridsleep »

Can a computer host more than one OASYS PCI? If so, would they both use the same software? Would they be able to extrapolate on each other or have to operate independently? If not, then would two OASYS PCI running in two separate computers be able to interact? Or, would they have to be managed separately to allow their individual sound to merge into one sound?

Its not possible, the card wasn't design to do that, you can only use one card in a computer at a time. If you are interested in more info on the Oasys PCI card then you should join the Yahoo group and search through its archives. Lots of good information there. Here's the link:

Take care.

Thanks. I also learned that earlier from the manager of the OASYS-PCI department at Korg, which is still fairly active, and from whom I obtained the SDK (gamma, available after signing an NDA.) There was yet another OASYS-PCI on eBay. I may go for another one to put in my Windows computer some day. Mine is currently the Apple G3 running OS 9, the level at which the SDK and interface software runs. The only problem is getting a MIDI interface to work. The drivers are there, the OASYS-PCI software is loaded and running, but the hardware won't speak with the software, or vice versa. I like problems, though. Keeps my mind busy.
