Any way to turn off aftertouch globally?

Post by xbjllb »

Forgive me if this has been asked before, I'm new and the search page isn't loading in. Is there any way to completely turn off the aftertouch globally? I've played with the global curve settings and can't notice much of a difference. Problem is I play hard live and the volume is going through tremendous jumps on all my patches when I press hard on the keyboard. Driving me, the band, and especially the soundmen crazy. Is there any way of globally turning aftertouch off, or do I have to go in and program every patch to ignore it? Or maybe lessen the volume jump a ton.

Thanks!

I have been wondering this as well. I don't think there is a way to do it globally, but I may be wrong.

I also don't know ... in a combi you can set the filter off for all timbres but that's a lot of work to do it for all.

I don't think there are that many patches where aftertouch affects the volume, mostly it's set to some kind of modulatio. Are you sure that the aftertouch is causing the jumps? Leveling patch volumes is something that has to be done even with aftertouch disabled completely.

Somehow, ALL my patches have this problem. Probably when I was first programming it for live performance and doing each new voice by cloning the first.

And I did match all the volumes almost immediately.

Thanks for the ideas though!
