Give up on Kronos 73
I will return my second Kronos 73 back to the store, the first one bad key and some other build issus. And the last one cut notes and act strange in combination mode.
I am so sory I sold my loving Korg Osays to get the Kronos.

No way.
I'm sorry for the really nasty quality problems (there definitely occur too much of them). But if someone offered me TWO Oasys for it, I would still keep my Kronos 73, because a working Kronos has some great and essential advantages over the Oasys.

Try to buy third Kronos on next year. Maybe Korg will change quality control.
My sympathy goes out to you. I almost got a JP80 instead of the Kronos 61.
So to sell your Oasys, was a pretty tough thing to do. Then to have the K73 mess up two times...wow, that has to be frustrating. I have not had any problems in the couple of weeks that I have had my K61. Maybe that is a direction you could try.

Re: Noisy Fan
Maybe it's just me but I see that the noisy fan issue seems mostly to be with either the 73 or 61 versions. I have the 88 and have no real problem with it. Matter of fact, the mechanical noise setting(pedal dampening) on the German piano is more annoying than the fan! (I know I can adjust the noise, just haven't done it yet).

My Gear- Korg Koronos 88, Korg Triton Extreme 76, Korg M1R, Korg R3, Korg Kaossilator(that's just the Korg stuff)Thanks for all your help!

Re: Give up on Kronos 73
So sorry to hear about that. The first batch of anything (Kronos is no exception) is going to have problems. Always best to wait a year for the bugs to be worked out before purchasing. Some of us though, have taken that chance and received very usable units. Its sad that you sold an Oasys thoughtwice wrote:I will return my second Kronos 73 back to the store, the first one bad key and some other build issus. Re: Give up on Kronos 73
You say it cut notes and acted strange in combination mode? I am not sure how that works. If it only happens in combination mode, then it is not the physical outputs. Being a digital instrument, either there is a fault to the physical boards or there isn't. Either the keyboard works or it doesn't. There is not going to be a part of the board that is broken and other things still withstanding. Otherwise it would just be a software issue. Recommend waiting for the OS 1.5 for any bugs to be worked out. Hardware probably is not the issue.PianoManChuck wrote:So sorry to hear about that. I just find it really hard to fathom two bad Kronos. That's just really bad luck if it's true.

It's to different problems.... I know it's a software the fault in combination mode, but the problems that goes for the cutting notes is also on program mode and I thinks it's a boad problem, I know sombody in here say it will be right in ver. 1,5 but I am not sure. Anyway Korg Denmark promise me that I will get a 88 key in a week and they will be sure that here is no fault on this, so I will get it try.
