Microkorg Midi Setup in Ableton Live using Novation Nio

hey, cant seem to get ableton to receive midi messages from my microkorg, i have output to input from microkorg to nio. not sure what to do about microkorg settings and ableton preferences. if someone could please give me detailed instructions on how to set it up, i would be extremely grateful. ive been searching through forums for ages and cant seem to get anywhere!
