Trigger IFX from controllers?
So with my band undertaking "Money" by Pink Floyd as a cover (DMB covers the tune, so we want to as well...plus I'm more a floyd fan than DMB anyway!)...I finally had to leave the comfort of just messing with some sound tweaks and combis - and jump into sampling.
Think I have sampling pretty much figured out...but here is my current issue:
I have a great electric piano with wah attached to the x-joystick. I'm hesitent to get ANOTHER pedal, but we'll see. My problem is that I have an insert effect (IFX2) which is a delay that I want to use only sometimes.
I looked for a while yesterday (with the help of some wine mind you), and could not for the life of me find a way to set any of the controllers (SW1 ideally) as a way to toggle the IFX2 on or off.
So to clarify a bit...I want the joystick to control the wah (got that part), but want the delay to come on only when I hit SW1 and go back off if I turn SW1 off.
The patch I am trying to do this with (if i recall correctly) is A-036. Should be an electric piano. Not sure if which patch changes how this can be accomplished?
Surely you can turn IFX on or off with the controls on the Kronos...right?

You typically turn on/off FXs in the OUTPUT section (bottom of the page of the FX). Yes, SW1/2 can be used to turn on/off.

You can also use a slider/pedal to set the dry/wet amount.burningbusch wrote:You typically turn on/off FXs in the OUTPUT section (bottom of the page of the FX). Yes, SW1/2 can be used to turn on/off.

"Off" in the sense of "bypass" would seem to me to be the same as "dry."aron wrote:It's not the same as on/off. I asked for this a while ago.
"Off" in the sense of "power-down a physical effects unit" would seem to serve very little purpose.
I can't think of any more meanings of "off" in this case.
If I may ask, what is your meaning, and what did you ask for?
Kronos 61, Kronos2-88, Hammond B3, Baldwin SD-10
I seem to remember trying to mess with that setting and I was still getting the delay even when set to 100% dry? I could be mistaken. Heading home now to test it out! lol.Zeroesque wrote:"Off" in the sense of "bypass" would seem to me to be the same as "dry."aron wrote:It's not the same as on/off. I asked for this a while ago.
