Hello, i do not have these keyboards at the moment but have played with an m3 before. My question if i get the radias rack installed with a m3 73 key. Does it work together with the m3. Am i able to use all the effects from the m3 and apply them to the radias and also am able to apply different scales to the radias? Where on the m3 would it show i have the radias instaled n can change sounds from it instead of m3
Second question is. What is the difference between the exb radias and the rack. Do i need both??

The RADIAS-R is merely a rack mounted synth MIDI'd to your M3 with a proprietary cable. For true integration, get the EXB-RADIAS. I have both and they each have their place. I recommend the EXB-RADIAS and get the full RADIAS if you want a 2nd synth.
Current Korg Gear: KRONOS 88 (4GB), M50-73 (PS mod), RADIAS-73, Electribe MX, Triton Pro (MOSS, SCSI, CF, 64MB RAM), SQ-64, DVP-1, MEX-8000, MR-1, KAOSSilator, nanoKey, nanoKontrol, 3x nanoPad 2, 3x DS1H, 7x PS1, FC7 (yes Korg, NOT Yamaha).
The only way to integrate Radias Rack and M3 is by using MIDI cables... the KKS (Korg Komponent System) just means that both will share the same keybed, but nothing more than that...
If you want to share effects, you need to plug AUDIO OUTPUT to AUDIO INPUT between them.
As McHale says, the only way to really integrate both is by using the EXB-RADIAS. But if you really like to tweak and love all the knobs you get with Radias rack... go for it but now you know theres really no integration between both.

Just use it like any M3 program/combi, so you can have karma, user scales, drum tracks, effects... the exb radias intergrates hence "adds" sounds (or a whole engine in that case) to your M3unleashed_project wrote:Ohh okay thanks for the helpful Answers. I think with thAt sAid im wanting to get the exb radias. Am i able to apply my own user scales to it tho??
