NO track volume message (sysex) !?

Post by javorcho1 »

Hi all!
I am playng live in seq mode , spliting tracks with different sounds in midi ch 1 and changing balance and sounds with rppr. That was the easiest way for me changing sounds on M3.
But now on my new Kronos i realize that this is not possible here.( or i am missing something). kronos saves cc 07 for track volume no sysex, in this case when you try to record volume automation of few tracks on same midi chanel, and playng back , as result all volumes are changing!
I know about karma thru but i prefer using karma for accompaniment.
If i am missing something please correct me! If no, it is urgent need for future update!

You could use a 'trick' to add an equalizer insert effect and set the trim to 0 and the effect to dry with a AMS to a CC which you can change in your sequence. However, it will cost one IF per group of tracks you want to control.

No need to use IFX for this case; if sysex is OK, just use the built-in track EQ and the front-panel Trim knob.

This sounds like a complicated way of doing things.
What specifically are you doing here?
If it's just about changing sounds, why not use different Combinations instead?

True this is more something to use for live (I 'stole' the idea from a default combi and works great).

Thank you for good ideas !
I am playng this way, becouse is very important to me changing gorup of sounds quckly without interruption of the rhythm.
If Set list can remember different EQ trim positions of one song at different set list slots will be great! Will try.
Thank you danatkorg!
