permanent reverb on Triton le61

Post by aggressors bc »

hi guys!
first post, so excuse me for sounding like a noob! i have a problem with my triton le61. when i am in program mode, every sound bank has a slight reverb sound. i can rectify this by turning the far right realtime control knob to the furthest position left, when it is set to B (assignable knob 4). the problem is that if i flick to a different bank and back, the reverb sound is there again! im sure there is something very simple i am overlooking, but i cant seem to take off this universal reverb! any help would be appreciated!

Thanx

Yeah, sometimes the reverb on the presets can be annoying.

as you noted, you can often control the reverb level on a patch using the realtime controls - technically they can be assigned to something else, but for most of the presets Korg followed this general template..
However, the realtime control knobs are only designed for tweaking the sound temporarily for your recording or as something to grab and tweak during performance. You can't save the tweaks they make to the sound because they are just routed modulation, not actual parameters.

If you dig into the FX section of a program, you'll find the reverb FX and you should just turn it's Dry/Wet ratio down (possibly to zero) - this is what Knob4 is assigned to on most programs.
Then make sure you save the program either from Utility > Write, or press the Rec/Write button

@ x-trade

Thank you! i had changed some of the utility parameters for delay etc, tho hadnt done this for reverb - i'l try this! although, would i need to do this for every program? or is there a global setting that would take off the reverb for all programs

thanx

agg,

Yeah, every program. There's no universal or global kill switch for reverb, as it is tailored for and written into each program individually.
