NanoPAD 2 XY pad problem, only on and off...

Hi everyone, i just got a nano pad 2 and i can record midi controler automation in a midi track in cubase studio 6 but i don't know how to record an automation on a vst plugin... i tried the quick controls buttons, the problem is that i'm only able to record on and off , not between theses 2 values, it goes to 0 when i dont toutch the xy pad and to the maxium then i toutch it. not as in the midi track.. in a midi track i can drag my finger on the pad and it records the drag. my main idea is to assign the xy pad to any vst pluggin and how to know what CC number is each knob in my vst pluggin...

Thanks in advance for the help, it's been a while that i want to do that.

I'm really keen to have this sorted too. Can anyone please help? Is this something simple I am missing? (I'm attempting to map the xy controller to the main volume fader in Fruity Loops 10)

OK, problem solved. Place your finger on the pad BEFORE selecting the midi input, then select the control you want to map, and slide your finger.
