Mic fade out and chord sustain latched on

Post by grampa800 »

I think the first problem (mic fade out) is fixed. I had both one intermittent cable and a loose connection inside one of the SM58 mics at the same time. It seems ok now with a third mic and new cable. Nothing worse than chasing multiple intermittents. But atleast it doesn't appear to be a Korg problem.

The second problem has not reoccured yet and remains a mystery. If it happens again I'll let you know.
Thanks,
Jim

I have been using the vocal harmonies and effects on my PA800 for a few years and recently at times over the last 2 weeks the vocal sound fades completely out (zero volume). Usually it will start again by itself but sometimes it is a long wait. I tried other mics and cables but same issue exists.

Also, a seemingly unrelated problem occurred yesterday for the first time. At the end of a song on the last piano chord, sustained with pedal, when I released the pedal and took my hands off the keys the sound somehow latched on and no buttons or pedal could stop it. I finally had to turn off the keyboard and turn it back on. I was not using any style backing.

Any thoughts out there are greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Jim
