First I want to say Kaoss products rock. I'm not a musician but even I can get people dancing with my Kaossilator and KP3.
I've just submitted an earlier post about the apreggiator and now I'm asking about corrupt samples.....I still love you KORG!
When I'm using my Kaossilator Pro and I'm jumping from bank to bank I notice sometimes that a tiny bit of one loop copies over to another. Just at the beginning I'll hear a little 'hiccup'.
I'll try to give an example.
Bank A is bass.
Bank B is highhat ride to match bass
Bank C is digeridoo (for the dubstep crowd)
I'll be slapping the banks to switch quickly then periodically I'll hear a tiny bit of digeridoo at the beginning of the highhat loop. Just like a millisecond but it's there. It stays there unless I reload the bank.
Again as I stated in my other post. My Kaoss was bought used and I've voided the warranty but it's always done this since I got my hands on it. No one notices but me but I'm just curious if anyone else has this issue?
Thanks!

Be sure not to be pressing the pad when you select a loop, because that will overdub what's playing on the pad onto the loop you selected for a blip. It happens because Korg didn't fully think out the consequences of the same button doing two thing at the same time, selecting a loop by briefly hitting and releasing the button, and overdubbing the loop by holding it down. There should be a way to select a loop in a readonly mode, but there isn't. They should have added an overdub button to select an overdub mode, but they were recycling the KP3 physical hardware.

Bah! No switching ARP on the fly and no sustaining notes on the pad while changing banks. Flint and stone Jim...I'm working with flint and stone!
It's all good, I can get around it. I'll loop the bass and rhythms on the KP3 and leave the Kaossilator banks for filler.
Perhaps on the Kaossilator 2.....
Oh and Korg if you're reading this. An option to display the count on the loops would be nice. Some of my loops are 16 counts and others are 8. Nothing worse than inserting a loop halfway through the count. The count shows up when recording but not when playing.
Thank you xmlguy you rock.
That star trek quote gives me an idea for a dubstep song....
"He's dead Jim"...drop the bass!!!!!

Glad to help, ToughDuck36! I haven't had a problem with changing the ARP mode while playing, although I don't do it much, since I much prefer to use the fader for the gate trigger rather than the gate timing. I use the gate timing normally at 50%, then I use it to move between gate on and gate off, to go from back and forth from a staccato to a legato, to let certain notes carry out playing with the gate open.
