Internal CF Card (replacing the floppy drive)

That sounds familliar, must be it,
but you just brought up another SUPER DUPER good reason for me to consider switching to your solution, which is the ability to pop the CF flash card into my PC for transferring files to it, backing it up, organizing it, etc.. None of which is convenient with my internal kit, as I recall.

Yes, it's tough to do with an internal SCSI drive. I believe that you can hook your Triton up to a SCSI adapter card installed in a PC and access the internal drive that way but these days, almost no computers have a SCSI adapter in them.
The ability to swap a CF card from sampler to computer and back is one of the best features of our CF-CARD drive. Since you already have the internal kit installed, it would be easy enough to add a CF-CARD drive in place of your floppy and keep the hard drive you have installed.

oh that's good to know I can use my existing scsi adapter with your CF replacement.
One wierd question on that, I read somewhere that I can't up grade the firmware on the triton without the floppy drive? Is that true? If so I guess I would upgrade it first then add your CF drive.
the only other way I can get sounds from the PC to the Triton is to use an external CDROM drive and burn the disc on the PC. But its a pain. The CF would be easier and maybe I'd just take that internal HD out after all.

Yes, that is true - the floppy is required for updating the os. As you said, you should update the os first, before removing the floppy drive and installing a CF-CARD drive. If you ever needed it again, it would be very easy to hook the floppy back up and install an upgrade.
One thing about all our installation kits and drives - we never require you to modify your sampler. You can always remove our drives and install kits and the sampler will be exactly as it was before - no soldering and no cut wires. Our kits integrate happily with your sampler and never mess it up!

Is Scsiforsamplers.com out of business or it is now
https://a4000t.com/store/
?
And does their PCD-50B work on a Korg Triton? Does it need to be installed somehow inside the Triton?
Thanks,
Miika

Triton prox- looking for a floppy drive replacement solution
I am looking for a product like this as well. I have a like new Korg Triton ProX workstation with the SCSI installed. I looked for a solution a while back when I saw a few people were installing a flash drive in place of the floppy. When I contacted the seller then they said it was discontinued. Does anyone make a device I can plug into the keyboard and use a flash card. I would like to be able to move the card from the keyboard to the computer for transferring and editing midi files. Thanks in advance.
