Help with synthesizing these sounds with an R3

Post by ltst »

I don't really want to recreate these sounds exactly, I was just wondering what is going on in the sound to produce its particular effects. They come from the Flux (Metal on Metal Remake). The first one starts at about 30 seconds, the second at about 1:21.

So what is going on in those sounds and can it be replicated on an R3?

Simple really. It sounds like a pulse wave being controlled by the LFO.

So that would be just patching an LFO to an oscillator with a pulse wave shape?

I don't have my r3 with me but I'm sure it would.

To be specific, it'd be patching a LFO to the pulse width of a pulse oscillator.
