Help with utilising certain midi based functions of the TR

Greetings all

I have tried time and time again to consult the included manual on certain matters such as this, but have once again reeled back in horror of it's quantum mechanical like descriptions, and am literally afraid to touch the workstation out of fear of accidently opening an intergalactic vortex to the flaming dimensions of pazuzu

Thusly my question is this:

Is it possible to write out notation in a midi track in a program such as cubase or sonar, and somehow utilise this to play one of the instruments on the workstation? e.g. basically play something like pipe organs using cubase entirely. If so, what exactly would I require to perform such a feat?

Did you get it working?

You have to be in Program or Sequencer mode. Connect a MIDI line in from your comp and push play. Multi-timberal sequencing and effects and whatnot are more complicated, but that's it really.
