Hi guys,
I've owned my r3 for a while now and am just getting into midi recording and its driving me nuts! Here's the scenario...my r3 is powered up and properly connected via midi cables to my maudio fast track pro. The green midi light in light on the front is lit up and when i hit keys on the r3 it flashes as it it is seeing the signal. i have my instrument track setup with a plugin inserted but when i go to play nothing happens on the pro tools side like it isn't seeing a signal or something. i was just wondering if anyone out there has ran into something similar or knows of how to setup the r3 with pro tools to use it as a midi controller. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanx.
Oh yeah i installed the latest drivers for the fast track pro and am able to record just fine off of it utilizing the other inputs its just midi driving me up the walls!!!! Please help!
R3 midi settings to pro tools mp9 help please!!!!!

If your M-Audio box's incoming MIDI light is flashing, then the issue has nothing to do with the R3 since the lights indicate that the R3 is set up correctly. It sounds like it might be a problem within the Protools MIDI options, they would need to be set up to receive the MIDI messages from the M-Audio box. Unfortunately, I'm not familiar with Protools.
