?? MicroArranger Song Play Mode ??

I am wondering what I am missing or misunderstanding. In Song Play mode I seem to be able to load only one song at a time - and that is not a quick process, btw. Once loaded, the SMF plays fine, I can edit and mute tracks fine, BUT where are the four extra performance voices I'm supposed to have available ? I think I've tried everything. I've read both quick start and user manual thoroughly on this subject.

What am I missing? While I'm at it, can I preload or select the next song while the first is playing? What about sequencer 2 in Song Play mode, or is it only available in Song mode?

OK, I finally understand how the Song Play section works. Which leads me to this question - so is the last style played the determiner of the Performance programs in Song Play? If so, can I create a separate Performance to load before I load a song? Does it have to be attached to a style?
