Concert grand eXp is too soft - like most piano sounds

Post by bosendorferkimball »

Does anyone know how to boost the piano sound? I've got 2 Pa1x pro's and just bought a Pa3x (76). The acoustic piano sounds are so soft compared to the other sounds. I know I can use the balance slide with the styles but everytime I got to an sts piano it's about 2/3 the volume of the other sounds. I don't really want to set up the sound book turning everything down on each setting. Thanks

I have the same situation. I wish someone would have an answer for this problem. When I A B the pa3x with the pa1xpro the same piano samples are different.

ozdaniel(AD),

Thanks for the download. However, that doesn't solve the problem we are experiencing. There is an area on the keyboard (about 2/3s up) that seems to be EQed low. It takes the meat out of the sample. Yes, I know there are EQ editing available but it seems like even MP3 files sound different as well. Anyone else experiencing this?????

Please do not get me wrong, I did not want to fix something.
Mix it all depends on each mp3 files,it also depends on the status of each sound, and everything comes down to mixing.
This keyboard is so complex that it can create problems for those with no experience in mixing, mastering and many other things!
Personally, I really like the Pa3x factory pianos.

Answer me this.....You put the PA1Xpro side by side with the PA3X and play the sample through each keyboard fresh out of the box they came in. Shouldn't they sound the same?
