Howdy, so when using the sound editor on a mac, will just a plain ol' midi to usb cable work to transfer data? Also, any driver or anything required? Other tips and tricks for a successful transfer of patches? thanks a million.

I have a USB-MIDI interface like the one below:

This doesn't work with my MK, I have to use a MIDI cable that connects to a joystick port on an old Win98 PC.
So, my advice is, don't just get the cheap option (you can buy that one for about £9 on amazon). I'm sure there's other people on the forum who can offer advice on which ones do work.
Also, I don't have a mac, so it will probably be different in that aspect.

The settings are all correct, and the device isn't faulty, because it works when I connect it to Anvil Studio (free midi recording/composition software). I've posted in other topics about it and the conclusion we came to was that the interface I have can't cope with the system exclusive messages the MK sends to the editor.
