what's in the middle, two decks and a mixer?
there's no way to tell if it will work, you haven't shown how the audio goes back into the thing I assume is a mixer, and you don't appear to have any speakers!
if you simply put the kaossilator output back through the mixer so it is heard on the output going back to the kp3 you'll get a feedback loop and probably damage something

depends how long the cables are and how sensitive your hearing is. probably not.
yes, or just get cables with RCA at one end and 1/4" at the other.seattlejones wrote:Follow up question to my last question, Can I go from the KP3 to the speaker using RCA then coverting to 1/4 at the speaker?
as the kp3 has beat detection the most simple way to set this lot up is like this:
NS7 -> kp3 -> kpro -> amp/speakers
I have a similar setup myself, but with V7's and just a kpro. Because the kpro doesn't auto detect beats i have to use a redsound micro box to give it a midi clock. But with your kp3 in line it should detect and give the kpro a rock steady midi clock.
You can then use the touch pads to loop and overdub and fx as much as you like.
Personally I use the looping within itch and just use the kaoss stuff for adding effects and sometimes as a sampler.
edit:- the above connection is audio only using standard L/R rca, you would also require a midi cable between the kp3 and the kpro. When the kp3 and kpro are midi linked they can really do some amazing stuff.

The kp3 will detect the beat of the incoming audio(from the NS7) and provide a midi clock to the kpro and for itself. I was under the impression that some of the effects and stuff only worked properly when the unit(s) were in sync. I could well be wrong on this, but it works quite well with my setup - although i don't have a kp3 and have to get my midi clock from a separate source.seattlejones wrote:What functionally does the midi cable link provide and how should they be connected?
As for the connection its the round ports on the back of the kp3 and kpro. Direct connection, i think it may be a "din" connector or something like that.
