KORG X50 Newbie - sound programming question

Post by megawolf »

Thanks in advance for any help!

I want to program the Korg X50 to make a percussion sound to my specs (just a basic kick drum) to play continuously underneath while I'm playing my keys. Almost like a metronome. How can I do this?

I went into the Program E127 : Init Program to try to build it from scratch but got quickly confused as to how to choose a simple kick drum sound and lay it down and write that in/ save it. Does this baby not record performances like that? Do I need a sampler? Or can I edit the standard kit to just give me kick at a tempo I specify...

I am going back to the manual to try to divine the way but it's a tough read for me - any help much appreciated!

I think you need to use the arpeggio (I don't have an X50 but I'm almost sure the X50 has one).
