Hello Áureo
I watched you youtube demo... Nice.... Just wondering why you reach to the back of the Kronos whenever you are using sample triggered combies?

Hello Johnndr and Motic..

That's how I use my combs during the expos and live shows, Using only a Korg Kronos and a Mackie Mixer.

http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-o5I5_6qv7RA/T ... +image.JPG

Use the outputs as follows:

L & R outputs to the normal sounds including pianos stereos course of the Kronos

Output 1 - use for samplers so I have an immediate gain control for special effects like in the video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jRhprQELH7w
I use three combs in this song:
1o COMB - at first chorus do a guitar in his left hand and manipulate the samples in the left hand
2o COMB - the second right side piano keyboard on the left and metals
3o COMB - right side chorus guitar with his left side strings

Output 2 - my simulation of guitar distortion, for that song where there is no keyboard, and.. I use the Korg Kronos microkey connected to the USB port to go to the front of the stage .. experience a lot of fun ..

http://4.bp.blogspot.com/--wVtAxhdBnE/T ... 1600/2.JPG

http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-PeyD5QiJqlg/T ... 1600/5.JPG

Output 3 - Audio and MIDI playbacks

Output 4 - send the click signal for the drummer in playbacks

this way I have total control of the audio that I use, and of course .. I get much higher quality taking things apart.

Hugs my Friends..

Cool man!!! The sound he created is excellent, but eliminate thist leslie effect effect , it provides a symptom of phaiser effect .. let it dry to get more organic to intro, leslie includes only a "rotary" to drive after you make this introduction and with very fast rotation..

I created two versions to this music in my combs, for a start like that other to the Organ Solo..and can be used for much of the music of Deep Purple

Thanks for you input korgmann!

But you know what, I cheated.

This is not Kronos. I can't get anything out of the Kronos remotely close to this.

To be honest, your sound is better than factory sound for sure, but I find the CX-3 is missing the real mean Deep Purple scratching sound.

I'm not sure if it's a limitation of the CX-3 engine, or that we've only been scratching the surface so far.

Well for now I'll use that until something else comes along.

Hi Dniss

take easy man.. lol.. I've never noticed it when I heard his demo, but I always concentrate on the pitch in question without trying to discover your sound source, I prefer to analyze the frequencies density etc. .. audio and acoustics are for me are the predominant factors for creating a good combo

Report that they continue to evolve my combs every day, I'm in the ninth version .. for me it's always fun to edit mjuito Partch in Kronos, because the choice of tools is extensive, I can say that this keyboard has no end .. I never feel limited with him ..

Hugs

Dniss,

Oh!!! I listened to your Perfect Stranger organ and I was so happy that you made Kronos CX-3 to sound like that!!!
Then you said you cheated!!! LOL

I am still struggling to get that sound from Kronos. I am not sure if it is possible or not.

I am using McHale program:

http://www.korgforums.com/forum/phpBB2/ ... highlight=

KORGMAN's program are very good too.

However, like you, I few something is missing. Maybe it is something from the studio recording that we cant reproduce only with a CX-3 or even on a real Hammond.

lol no kidding!

My heart sank the 1st time I browsed the CX-3 presets. I'm not sure but I think the prblm is that it's based on hammond c-3 organ rather than hammond coB-3.

I have a vst dedicated unit with decent A/D converters in my rack and that is the VB3 plugin.

http://www.genuinesoundware.com/?a=showproduct&b=24

You should hear the mp3, it's even better than the sample in that link. I used that sound for the 1st time yesterday in my band and everyone was blown away. If you compare the studio recording, it's almost dead on.

If you pm your email, I'll send it you (mp3). It will knock you socks off guaranted!
:)

But all is not lost, check this thread, last page. Some peps have tweaked the cx-3 to sound very good. We're getting close:

http://www.korgforums.com/forum/phpBB2/ ... ht=#455234

For now I sorta gave up on making the kronos sounds like that.
Cheers!

Hello my friend Dniss.

I understand what you mean, and I respect your opinion. But the art of programming patches, requires patience, much patience and analyze .. and for sure very soon I will have patches of very near Hammond samples, but for now I am very pleased with the Kronos, because even real, the market VSTS never provide the same power density and live with a band .. they disappear in the middle of the sound pressure of the band ..

With this does not happen Kronos .. power is pure .. Organic and like it ..

hugs

Hi there korgmann,

Unfortunatly, I don't have the skills to do that.
:(

I have to wait for more skillfull users to do it and are willing to share, or I have to purchase them.

Keep on the good work, you are very crafty at it and it's highly appreciated.

Best regards,
