Hey everybody, so i bought the xmidi 1x1 to record via midi (obviously) and to put some new patches on my mk... my mac (10.5) recognizes the device, i have the cables connected properly and the mk is turned to midi, however i cannot hear any of the virtual instruments on garageband. I also use a korg nanopad, which works just fine with the virtual instruments. anyone have any ideas? im just confused and irritated at this point. Thanks
JBird

With the xMIDI 1x1, you connect MIDI Out of the interface to MIDI In of the synth/module/keyboard/whatever, and MIDI In to MIDI Out.
Typically In always goes to Out.
In this case, you want MIDI to come out of your microKorg, and in to your computer.

i recommend you install Midi Monitor ( http://www.snoize.com/MIDIMonitor/ ) to be able to view what midi messages go into your computer.
check one time with the nanopad connected and compare it to when your microkorg is connected.
