Loading Samples from Akai into Kronos: Locks up Kronos

When Loading Samples from Akai CD's into Kronos: Freezes Kronos

I have many excellent Akai Sample libraries on CD.
With USB drive connected, the Kronos can read the CD's and start to load.

Loading never stops, the Kronos locks up when any Akai sample CD is attempted to be loaded into the Kronos. I went through the Op Guide
and followed the guide lines, use Advanced Checkbox.

Anyone with success Importing and loading Akai Sample CD's or libraries?

May be damaged CD reader?
Try to burn to a CDR or CDRW - PCG and check reading.

Hi, It's a known bug, i dont know if korg fix it or not in the future but yes it freeze totaly the kronos.

I had a similar problem. However, I consulted the documentation and it appears that the Kronos can only read CDs that are in audio format, Kronos boot format or UDF format. Check the Op Guide p182. It won't read regular FAT32 type files. You need a flash drive or external HDD to read these files so copy the sample disks to flash.
