Saving from PA2X to PA3X

Post by derek bradburn »

Hello,
Could any one help me with this please;
I'm about to Part X my PA2X for the 3X and have a number of Midi files stored in the 2X which I would like to save onto a USB stick to use in the new keyboard. If I Save "ALL", the boxes that come up do not show midi files listed so presumably they are not saved.
Can anyone tell me the procedure for Saving these files to USB.
Sorry if I sound a bit dim but the Saving/Copying side of things is not my strong point.
Thanks,
Derek B

Hi everybody,

It is quite simple to save your midifiles from your Keyboard :

Just open MEDIA,
select the tab COPY
select HD
select the file you want to copy.
select USB FRONT or USB REAR and start the copy process.

I hope this will help you!

saving from PA2X to PA3X

Hello,
Thanks to Wolfgang for the reply to my query re above.
unfortuanteley this did'nt work as the Midi files are not in the HD but stored on my USB stick that is permanently in the front socket.
So the question has to be How do I copy the midi files from one USB stick to another ?.
Sorry for the error in my previous question.
Regards, Derek B.

I'm confused. If your midi files are already on a USB stick why don't you just unplug it and plug it into your new Pa3x. if you do need them on another stick then put it into your computer and just copy them to another stick

Hi derek
its the same procedure like capricorn wrote.
Put the 2nd stick in the back of your key.
So you can copy from front to back. Its very easy.

Songs are never part of a set.
Best regards from germany
