Cutting down length of Tubular Bells decay

Post by britkeys »

Hi guys,

Any ideas on how to reduce length of Bells, the delay is long and getting muddy when I am playing a series of notes in succession.

Cheers

Which program or combi number is it? I can give you precise instructions if I know which one, otherwise it's going to be general recommendations.

Generally, if the sound has a delay effect, you have a few easy options:
  • Reduce the Wet/Dry Mix of the delay effect.

Reduce the FX Send to the delay.

Reduce the Feedback parameters of the delay.

    Switch off the delay effect.

I would add to the list to make the delays midi sync, so the delayed sound is in rhythm of the song. That helps make is sound less muddy.

Adjust the amp envelope as well. Play around with decay and release until you find what you want.
