Assignable real time knobs
Hello,
I'm sure this was working before upgrade 1.5
In combi or sequencer I have a layered Piano and Strings patch both midi channel one.
In the controller section I set Knob8 to expression cc11, in midi filter2 I uncheck the Enable real time control Knob8 for the piano track.
Now with the Real Time Knobs I should be able to fade the strings up and down in volume, but Knob8 just turns them both down.
This is simple stuff I've used for years on Korg keyboards and it was working properly before 1.5
Any ideas?
Regards Lou

Pretty sure this has never worked in Korg's workstations. Or maybe I'm not understanding?

This setup definitely works on a M3 -- I use it a lot, and it's on a number of preset combis. Perhaps someone with a Kronos will try to replicate the problem to see if it's an actual issue or other...X-Trade wrote:Pretty sure this has never worked in Korg's workstations. Expression pedal
Today I bought an expression pedal to use it in a combi, where are 2 timbres: piano and strings. I didn't find out how to use the pedal to control only the other timbres volume? It works now for all the timbres at the same time! Any idea?
Or is this the same problem like nick Triton456 has?

Impossible to say. How have you set up the Foot Pedal Assign in Global?Acousticflavour wrote:Today I bought an expression pedal to use it in a combi, where are 2 timbres: piano and strings. Re
Now I found it!
First choose Foot pedal assign: Expression CC11
The go to Combis Midi filter/Zones and there disable foot pedal for all the timbres you don't want to control with expression pedal.
Sliders can be used only when you don't need both hands for the keyboard at the same time. Foot pedal helps when your hands are running out.

Wish I could help you Lou, but I can't test it because I don't have a Kronos. It should work exactly as you describe. Again, I hope someone will at least try to test it on theirs.
Have you tried setting it to a different CC instead, to see if it's consistently doing it regardless of the CC number assigned?
Are you starting from an initialised combi?
