Could someone give me a hand with the kp3?

Post by gregbankley »

So I am trying to decide if I should get the kp3, kaos pad. I just got jam Man jml2 digitech looper but it isn't cutting it for me. I need to have access to the individual loops, not just one big mess of a song. But with the kp3 will i have this ability to lower individual loops?

Also, could i plug my korg r3 and guitar into the back of the kaos and then into the amp? (like my looper).. (meaning- does it have two slots in the back for quarter inch ins and outs. the digitech is nice because I could plug my guitar, keyboard, mic, and Ipod into it and loop that stuff all at the same time. Can I do this will the kaos?)

One last thing, is there a better route I should be going? I am trying to form a band and I need some access to loops , but the loop pedal is too flaky. I know ableton would probably solve all this but I can't afford it right now for 330 bucks or whatever it cost. I have a deal the kaos for 200 bucks right now so I may take it. What do you gys think? Is there a better looper out there? Thanks!

Yep. You can lower each loop individually, or control the master fader that will adjust the volume of all 4.

Unfortunately, no. The KP3 has RCA inputs that supports one connection at a time. If you want to plug all of this stuff into the KP3, your best bet is to use a mixer for this functionality.

Forgot to add, I have the mini kaos pad, but that can't really loop. I may just get ableton with the novation launch pad, just don't know how I'm going to get the guitar, mic, and my r3 to hook up to it.

So is the kp3 generally for one instrument?

all you need is a small mixer... everything goes into the small mixer, then output goes into the kp3...then you are only limited by the number of mixer channels
