sequencer reso and quantize note meaning.

Post by synthman50 »

Hi. Can anyone explain, in plain English, the meaning of the notes for setting the reso (on the main record screen) and quantize track (on the track edit screen). I don't read music and don't know what they mean. I'm used to the ensoniq sequencer way of doing things in English not music notation. I want to know what these notes mean, in English so to speak, ie 1/4 note, 1/16 note. You get the idea. Can anyone help me please.

Thanks.[/b]

Hey man, thanks for that. This should make life a lot easier for me now. If only korg had put a quantze note conversion chart in the triton's manual it, would have made life a lot easier. We don't all read music notation.

Thanks.

ok, looked at that wiki thing, but can you tell me, on the triton, what the the notes with the number 3 mean in English. The wiki thing don't show them.

Thanks.

It's a triplet note.
Not sure what that converts to - 1/3 of the original note value, or 2/3.

Glad to be of assistance
