Joystick Problem PA500

I have a PA500, and there is a problem w/ the Joystick when moving left & right direction; up & down work fine. Since I rarely use up & down, I wonder if I can swap function of up&down for left&right. Any thoughts?

I have just finished assembling after repair of my PA500 joystick. The problem was in loose wires. There is really bad design in fact, wires movement while joystick (Y-axis) works will break them one day it is just matter of time.

So, most probably you can fix it yourself, no need to swap (it is also possible though).
The goal is to solder a loose wire back and set all of them in such a way... a... how to explain... say not to let them move like we do when we want to break a wire - many many times wigwagging in the same place.
So, we're spreading the moving section, by means of removing the nearest wire holder and making the section near the moving part harder with a little stem (a peace of plastic a wire connected by adhesive tape .

It is easy really, I just can't explain in proper words for lack of good English, but as soon as you see you will get it right.
