Normalize all patches volume

Post by ltpitt »

Hi all!

I have been playing a bit with my R3 and I have many lovely patches.

Now the problem is that switching from a patch to another I get HUGE volume differencies...

Is there any way to get the same output volume for all patches?

Thanks!

I can change the patch volume using the "Mixer" function (n.07).

But it is composed of various components (OSC1 Lvl, OSC2 Lvl, NoiseLvl and Punchlvl)...
Changing all those for all the patches could be... Nightmarish ò_ò

Hi, ltpitt.
You don't have to touch mixer setting. Every timbre has Level parameter in Amp section.
I had the same problem when tried to play in some band. So my solution was to set volume parameter manually in all needed patches in order to make them sound equally.

Another trick would be using the compressor effect for every patch, though it tends to make sounds with a longer decay (such as pads) sound a bit off.

But yeah, menu number 12 which has the Amp settings is the way to go.
