My first Kronos tunes!

Post by Darmin De'flern »

Just to say that I have made my first two tunes using my Korg Kronos. They hark back to my early days of instrumental pieces and came about just playing on the new keyboard and getting used to it (the feel of playing weighted keys again, selecting different programs saving and loading etc).

The first one is called Frozen Lake (Skate) and is a simple but elegant piano piece (Kronos German Grand). The second is called Journeys End and is a Piano+Strings (Japanese Grand with Stings) with a simple drum beat (Jazz Drum Kit dry mic) . They can be found at my website www.darmindeflern.com.

The two songs can be found on the front page (top right hand side) or can be found in my discography section.

I have made no alteration to the Kronos German Grand but used the sustain peddle heavily. For the second i pushed up the volume on the strings and balanced the drums (they were a bit loud) in my DAW.

So though many people (I have read) are quite frightened of the complexity of the Kronos there is nothing to stop people jumping straight in and making tunes straight away (instant gratification yay!) with the only some quick glances at the starter manual for guidance.

Should also state these are original tunes created by as well as played on the Kronos.

Darmin,
Viewing your site on an iPad is a no go as you know we don't have flash.
Will have a listen when I get back to the desktop..

Install the Photon app on your ipad and away you GO on flash websites.

When switching to "Flash" mode (via the lightning button) in the app the websites do get a little fuzzy optically speaking and yes using the arrow or hand can sometimes be a pain but all in all it will do the job.

I know nothing! Honestly had no idea that iPad doesn't use flash as I haven't got any apple products as they are evil!

However looks like someone has a work around for you. (Honestly who creates web enabled products without supporting flash seems strange to me).

Flash is dead

Flash is dying...

It's a resource and power hog and the source of most issues.

Thanks :) instrumental stuff goes back to my piano training and love of that type of music, where as the band type of stuff reflects the type of music I like (which is almost anything). I do love rock and metal, but having a great film score with instrumental music is one of the things I love about films to.

I like anything from John Williams to Paradise Lost. From Jean Michelle Jarr to Dio lol.

Well I don't have the time to learn html, my bass, video editing (for my music video, learning how to use korg, and social networking to boost my music profile. The website was created using Easy Generator and most people can play flash.
