Yesterday I sold my Wavedrum Oriental.
Although it's a very good sounding and creative instrument, I couldn't live with ...
1. the lame conga sounds.
2. the fact that you can't back up any data. Programming all the synths for my band, my e-drumkit, and the wavedrum cost tons of time. And I won't think of loosing data and starting all over again.
3. the time it takes between changing presets live.
4. the fact that some multi presets behave very unpredictable. I don't always know which stick or hand-setting gives which sound.
On one hand this makes the Wavedrum very creative on the other hand difficult to play
5. the stiff head makes snare drum playing so.. so..
Thanks for your contributions and discussion.
I really appreciate.
I whish you all the best.
Bye
time to say goodbye ...

i'm sorry for that, but i understand your decision,
WAVEDRUM is too closed instrument in this moment...
Certainly KORG will must become more open to our wish for more flexibility of this fabulous intrument, but i find too (like you) it's too complicate and not easy to tweak our sound preset
It's difficult with near 54 parameters for each sound with only 3 digit display screen....and no USB communication....no comment....
I hope with the help of other guys in this wolrd to find the way for build a software for better tweaking sound...maybe one day this dream come true...i hope...i hope
I'm affraid if KORG continious to sell instrument closed at the door of the new and actual technology...they will probably lost days after days lot of user tired of these difficulty like you...it's pity
Good luck man in you musical life
