USB compatible hardware working list

Post by neomad »

Hello: I've seen many post about many working devices (USB controllers as AKAI, microphones as blue, IPAD with midi touch etc.). However, AFAIK, seems there is no official post with such list. If not, can we start here ?
Thank you ;)

I think it's a really good idea. I have quite often needed compatibility information for Synology NAS devices. They have an official page of compatibility which is useful, but the user sourced pages are very good, referencing the device, relevant tested firmware/version and additional comments.

To illustrate, I wanted a USB sound card but Synology only support USB speakers in the Official list. When I looked at the user contributed list I found a Terratec adapter that I liked the look (and price) of.

Studiologic VMK-88 Plus

Yeah I know  But I was desperate for an inexpensive 88 key controller.

Plugs directly into the Kronos, no reboot required, no extra power needed, works fine.

I've used Oxygen 61 and Axiom 61 into the USB port.

I've got a microkey. You think it will be possible to chain up the microkey with the nano series?

So, in a rather simplistic way, I have created a spreadsheet to start this off with the contributions above. I think that the Kronos software version is quite important here, especially for external drives & DVD roms, so if you can let me know I will update it.

Edit : See Sharp's post below.

If it becomes a more sizeable document I will do some restructuring to make it more usable.

...with a custom written Linux OS, a specialty USB controller device to manage the keyboard's musical instrument synthesis (amongst other functions, I'd assume), and a bunch of it's standard PC ports either disabled or removed. Doesn't sound full functioning in the 'standard PC' world to me - as much as an embedded device being a 'computer' simply because it uses microchips.
