I've read in the user manual for my Radias how to record step-sequences. I've also found in the manual where it discusses editing drumkits. Nowhere, however, does it talk about how to record a drum TRACK. This is bad considering it's a major feature of the Radias. Also, is there a book or a 'real-good' Radias programming site available??
Thanks ahead of time.

Recording Drum tracks on the Radias

There is a really nice method for doing step-entry on the Radias for drums much like on the Electribes..
I'll see if I can put together a walk through later.

use the downloadable editor for this sort of thing, it's a lot easier.
there are limitations on "drum tracks" which is weak-sauce so just use a normal timbre and set up your own drum set.
- set osc 1 to drums sounds (i tend to use tambourine) and in patch 1 set keytracking to osc 1 control 2 and fan the drum sounds out across the keyboard. then use a step sequencer to play your beat.
OPENING UP YOUR DRUMSET and programming multiple beats:
-in key zone set that patch to only play notes between two octaves(C#0 and C2 for instance) set your step sequencer to transpose. now write a new beat every two octaves.pressing every other c now plays a new beat (i do this with a midi footswitch on global so other timbres on other channels can be played using the keys).
here is a new song where i use this method for drums and percussion and use the same method on the second step sequencer to play bass and lead. i still need to clean up the drum beat a bit to make them sound more natural but you get the idea. add vocals and guitar and we have an album ready electro pop song.
